CENTER PIVOT IRRIGATION SYSTEM INTRODUCTION, BENEFITS AND GOVT. SUBSIDY FOR FARMERS IN PUNJAB, PAKISTAN

Center Pivot Irrigation System is a high efficiency irrigation system. It is a galvanized steel structure with large pipes supported with the help of towers and move with tires which consists of gear driven motors. This whole structure moves in a circular pattern and sprinklers are attached with these pipes that irrigates the field. It consists of a control panel in which we can control the time and application of irrigation. Moreover we can also operate advanced system through mobile application. It can also irrigate undulated fields where flood irrigation is not possible. Fertilizer is also mixed in water and injected through injection pump which results in equal and uniform application of fertilizer and  in this way saving of the fertilizer. Its mechanism is just like rainfall.Lets have a visual look on this system in the picture below

Pakistani Farmers are speedily moving towards this system as Government of Punjab is also providing a subsidy of 60/40. Means 60 percent of the total system cost is being beared by the government and farmer only has to pay 40 percent of the total project cost. So it is an hour of need to think and adopt this system thus to increase our yield, productivity and quality and also improving overall efficiency.
